Are they doing it this year? I went to the website, but didn't see any indication it's going off.

I want to say it already passed? Isn't it normally in August? I can't remember.

Last year they pushed it back to October or November because of too many competing events in the general timeframe of August. I checked out the website and didn't see new winners posted -- Salah was up for both popping and locking and I know that was last year because I was there.

Man, I need a good event to attend. I haven't seen much dancing in a while. I went to Freestyle sessions but missed the popping (saw some locking which was rad). The breaking room was so crazy packed and with my broken toe, I couldn't venture too far into circles for fear of re-injury, so I didn't get the fix I needed. If you know of anything else coming up, please let me know.

Yeah there is always a lot of events in August. There isn't to much Going down in LA in the dance scene this weekend. The big thing this weekend is Styles Anniversary in Phoenix AZ. I was going to go but I couldn't take enough work off to make it worth the trip. If you want to see some dancing I know that Funny Bones is performing at this party at the Hudson this weekend in SB. Or if your willing to make the drive, I am going to SD on Saturday for the Grand Opening of the "Kleen House" retail store. Should be a lot of dancers there. Next weekend there is a Battle as well. I believe it's at Cal State Northridge. I'll get back to you on that I can't really remember. A lot of dancers frequent Inspiration on Saturday nights if you wanted to see some good dancing and get a drink. That's on the west side. But it's not DnB it's house music. That's all I can really think of for now. I'll get back to you about some info.
