Re: No Subject Title Needed
She said she also wasn't trying to make a statement linking Obama and food stamps, although her introductory text to the illustration connects the two: "Obama talks about all those presidents that got their names on bills. If elected, what bill would he be on????? Food Stamps, what else!"
oh my god...

Re: No Subject Title Needed
Wow. There is just repeated fail in the article by that woman.
Funny funny funny.
"Fedele said she got the illustration in a number of chain e-mails and decided to reprint it for her members in the Trumpeter newsletter because she was offended that Obama would draw attention to his own race"
In a related story she was offended when a police officer puller her over and drew attention to the fact he was a cop.
But, I must admit I had to laugh a little at the name "Acquanetta" (sorry)

Re: No Subject Title Needed
Man....I am just f**kin stunned right now...WOW....
I mean, is this the 60's all over again?
I've known all my life that racist undercurrents are unfortunately a part of life, but I honestly had thought that as a whole, we had moved beyond alot of this s**t, especially in non-rural, allegedly "modern, educated" areas of the country...but after the "terrorist" and "kill him" comments that I have been hearing lately, coupled with s**t like what was in the article...the curtains have definitely been pulled back and I see with 20/20 clarity....
I am truly hurt and ashamed that this still goes on in our country, especially with the emergence of the global marketplace. This type of s**t will only further denigrate our image in the World, considering that majority of the world is non-anglo...
It's pretty telling when the GOP will allow a man who served in the Senate, representing a State that refused to officially observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day until 1993:
January 18, 1993 Arizona observed first statewide King holiday. (Mike Padgett "King Day a First Step, Leaders Say: Mesa Next Target of Civil Rights Effort" Phoenix Gazette January 18, 1993, p. A1).

FUCK McCain, FUCK Palin (and not in a good way), and FUCK the GOP.... |
