Have you seen "The Last Dragon"?
It's been on showtime here in vegas for a week now...of course i've seen this when i was younger and it was the s**t! but i mentioned it the other day to someone and they have never even heard of it...wth...
then at work i was talking about 80s movies and the goonies came up...and 4 people out of 6 who was in the room have never watched or heard of the fckn goonies either...man i must just be old...

The Last Dragon is like one of my favorite movies all time. I know every fukkin' part by heart:

Vanity was so hot + fukkin' El Debarge is in the movie.

I loved that movie when I was a kid. I haven't seen it since u was 8 or 9 I think.
I hope it comes on cable here soon. Maybe it will come on the HD channels. Lol.
Side note. I was watching Karate Kid the other day in HD, and its like a whole new movie in HD. I couldn't turn it off. Had to watch the whole thing. |

Actor Julius Carry has died. He was 56, details of his death have yet to be released.
Yes that is the one and only Vanity in this movie as well.
Born Denise Katrina Matthews, Vanity is glamorous Canadian ex-model and lead singer of all girl group "Vanity 6" from German and African/American parentage, who specialized in playing sultry female characters often in trouble with the law.
Since then she has turned her back on the entertainment industry and is a happy full time christian.

Julius J. Carry III plays Sho-nuff, the "Shogun of Harlem" . Born in Chicaqo in 1952, he is 6'15" tall and weighed 200 pounds at the time of filming.
His father was a Chicago fireman and his mother is a reverend with Christ Universal Temple and a director of the Johnnie Coleman Institute.
On the stage, Julius Carry has appeared in "West Side Story" and "Hamlet." the latter in 21 cities. For four years he was a member of the Chicago Repertory Company.
He had previously appeared in the film "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" in 1979 in which he was "the one with the turban, Jamal Truth --Ain't it the truth!" and an episode of the smash hit TV series "Fame".
Although he played a basketball player cum Shogun in The Last Dragon, he has not played a great deal of basketball in his personal life although he seems to have been made for the game.
He studied Kung Fu. He acted in numerous television shows, including "Bay City Blues," "Benson," "Hill Stree Blues," "Alice," "The A-Team" and "The Bob Newhart Show and has since gone on to work throughout the late 80's and 90's. Notably, he appeared as "Sgt. Moore" in a few episodes of "Boy Meets World". |

That song + "The Best Around" in Karate Kid + "Danger Zone" in Top Gun + The song playing during the house party scene in Trading Places when Eddie Murphy throws a party at his new mansion and a song i forget from RAD and GLEAMING THE CUBE would be my all time soundtrack!!!!!!
best movie soundtrack though is WARRIORS...seriously the electronic music on there is priceless! |

i actually picked up "Danger Zone" lol played it at the tropicana pool this year...dropped "Eye of the Tiger" from rocky aswell
