Fail. CNN reported this, and Rockefeller admitted in Memoirs that he's working towards a world government.

CNN based their story on SPP documentation.

Furthermore, are you seriously saying you trust what the government is telling us? The people instituting martial law, the people who sold us in Iraq amidst a whirlwind of a thousand lies, the people who wrote legislation to sign up Bush as dictator?

When has this ever been up for a vote? When have any candidates mentioned that this is something that's going to happen? Obama openly denied that he knew anything about it.

I wasnt denying it. In fact I think there should be a one world government one government to rule them all... then we can all work together to create a united federation. A united space federation... and we can work on warp speed traveling and we get get out of this hellish solar system. im so over this place, we have been here for billions of years.. its getting a little old gwaad

If you're not being facetious, I would be down for membership in the Galactic Federation too, but the NWO is not the same thing as a united world. It will be controlled by oligarchs, and we will be slaves.

yes there are many signs that this is coming.. but for CNN to report on it.. well isn't that weird??

i don't trust the media much these days.. doesn't most news come from only a few select corporations controlling it all?

There are still a few voices of reason in the media.

While I'm not impressed by Keith Olbermann's kneel-and-bob routine for Obama, he's been one of the only vocal and outspoken journalists against a lot of what Bush has done in his presidency.

Lou Dobbs is another one of these. I don't like everything journalists say - in fact the vast majority is rubbish - but now and again some truth comes through.

Oh, you better believe it is going down right now! Laws are being past over night. Super highways are in development , as we speak. Highways are going to stretch from Mexico, all the way to Canada.
I found out early this year that micro chips are already being implanted into people. And it started in mexico, out of all places! So I really don't think that they will ever close our borders now.

Less "this scary thing is going to happen and you all need to buy lots of guns and just wait for your impending doom of which you'll have no choice or say in the matter" and more "this is what we can do about it - other than buying lots of guns".

how about:
-learning how to farm your own food (become a survivalist)
-learning a trade or skill so you have something to barter with
-spreading positivity and awareness of energy and the connection we all have and the strength of our intentions to make positive change in this current world and then using that energy as a collective to create change and progress!

If enough people become aware of their rights and power as intelligent sentient beings and stand together and project a more positive outcome for our world - it will be, or it will be closer to being, than what will happen if we continue to scare people into this thought pattern that the government is in control and there is nothing we can do about it. The more people feel like s**t is going down and they have no control or say, the more the FEAR will spread and FEAR is like poison and will surly kill any chance we actually have of creating a different reality.

Acknowledged...

Any thoughts on how to get people in LA into a mindset (or environment) that would allow for farming? I haven't read up on this too much, but have seen some really compact but high-yielding hydroponic setups for growing vegetables. The guy I knew that did this had a setup on his apartment building roof and was growing tomatoes - I'd never had hydroponically grown food before, and they were actually very good (nothing beats garden fresh, but this was more or less indiscernible).

Generally this seems like a space issue more than anything - of course it's hard to convince people of the wisdom of self-reliance.

I've been studying stuff for my Masters lately about niche-specific social networks like Ning.com - it would be great if we could get something like that going without any technology infrastructure. Like a network of people that had access to certain goods or means of transportation that would support a barter system given the likely failure of our currency. The need for a broader geographic network would probably hinge on the scarcity of certain trades, skills, and goods in various regions - I guess I'm basically describing a multi-regional co-op.

What are your thoughts? 100% in agreement that skills are important, but beyond that people are also going to really have to come together to participate in supportive communities to make it through whatever rough stuff lies ahead for addicts to the consumer way of life.
