Position Profile: Web/Graphic Designer
Job Description:
Snap is looking for a passionate and talented designer with solid skills in design to join our product team. You will be working closely with product mangers to define and design user interface for new and existing products and features that are being used by millions of internet users every day.
You will be responsible for designing intuitive, easy to use interface of Snap’s web site as well as the
Snap Shots product, as well as various marketing collaterals.
You will also be responsible for the
front‐end coding – HTML layouts and templates that will be handed off to developers for back‐end
coding.
Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility to the design of Snap’s consumer‐facing products
• Work closely with the product team on designing and implementing new initiatives, products
and features
• Support marketing, business development, and sales with web/print solutions
• Update and re;ine Snap’s brand guidelines for all outbound communication
• Ensure brand consistency across all communication platforms
Requirements:
• Strong portfolio featuring web and print design
• Solid understanding of working with‐‐and designing for‐‐web applications
• Minimum of 3+ years experience designing outstanding web‐based products for a consumeroriented
website as a key member of a design team.
• Expertise in XHTML, CSS
• Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,
• Ability to handle the pressure and ;luidity of a start‐up environment
• Ability to explore new concepts based on strategic goals
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Working knowledge of print production, including quality control
• BS or BFA in design or related ;ield
Bonus Points:
• Knowledge of PHP, Javascript, Flash and Unix
• Knowledge of other media software packages a big plus ‐ web, video editing, audio editing,
etc..

Snap is a mid‐stage start‐up. (We are generating revenues but are not yet pro;itable.) Snap has achieved it market success with a relatively small team (less than 30 employees) of HIGH IMPACT team members.
Snap intends to continue to follow this strategy of keeping the organization small in the immediate term but will expand as revenues grow.
