1. Definitely the club listings, and being able to connect with like minded people.

2. New posters talking s**t about things they know nothing about, and constructive posts turning into bitch fests.

3. Wasting time at work when I should be working

2. Everyone has a right to their own opinion so yeah cant complain about that!

3. Meeting people that are on JS out in the clubs, seeing who you are communicating with online and knowing whats going on.

1) Clubs and Parties, hands down. Without this I would be totally lost about where to go and what to do in LA.

2) The quirky ways of the forum - having to put spaces after URLs, limited HTML tag support, overall usability.

3) Killing time at work!

1) Local Event listings for Junglists. Sorry collectors but after 13 years of parties, flyers don't cut it.

2) It's frustrating that pics seldom load anymore. At least from my office computer.

3) I'd have to hop on the bandwagon and agree that it makes the day go much smoother at work. I don't have to bring my ipod to work I just plug in the headphones and listen to some pretty dope mixes!!!

yeah i agree about the usability issues. they will be addressed in the full rewrite. html tag support will still be limited though and there will never ever ever be signatures.

Add a sarcasm button ! Yeah that was semi sarcastic . I just find that the sig thing can be a good way to promote a new mix,tune,myspace,event etc etc BUT it does tend to get abused for lame s**t like that witty comment u made on the so and so thread or that stupid stupid picture from lol cats .

2. The code that is added after links unless you are in teh know and TYPE A SPACE AFTER YOU TYPE YOUR LINK.

3. Meeting a lot of awesome people and getting great feedback on tunes in the producer's section! (really helped me a lot)

3 Years ago this would have been a very different list, but since I'm not really part of the scene anymore, this is about the extent of my use.

1. I like the potential unity this site promotes, great for dnb related info and events

2. For how old this site is and how deep the roots are, its not being used as a stronger tool to make this music bigger faster... this site should be marketed more often

3. Marketing and networking with like-minded individuals in the dnb scene but most importantly letting everyone know UPGRADE exists...

Thanx Dave, this site has unified many people and will continue to grow no matter what you choose to do with it, just keep it alive pls!

yeah i haven't every really pushed the marketing aspect. mostly because i'm busy but also because this site isn't intended to generate revenue, just sustain itself.

1) Promoting shows, seeing what other's had to say about them, capturing pictures from them.

2) Popularity contests aka playing favorites and constantly being bombarded with grammatical errors and lame misspellings/catch phrases such as "boh", "big ups", "teh", "boooom", "fiyah" and "running tingz" or "big tingz gwan", etc.

3) The Dubstep/Grime forum.

in the 'reply' section there is an 'img' button on the top right. you click it and it opens a text field. paste the address of the picture in the field and then press 'ok' and the magic of the interweb adds the correct code to the end of your post!




in order to find the address of a picture on the interweb you:
a)PC
right click on the picture and choose 'properties'. in the properties dialog box it will show the address of the picture.
b)MAC
Command click on the picture and choose 'copy image location' and all of a sudden you now have the address in your copy & paste pocket so you can paste it where ever you desire...like in the 'img' text box on junglescene.

Is it the web site that does all these great and horrible things, or is it the people? (more a statement than a question.)

I say this site has been a great information outlet for connecting the underground scene of people, but the highest level of the scene isn't made of the same soil that grows so many great seeds. Everything is opt for improvement, that's what a survey creates, right.

Jealousy? Curruption? Control by favoritsims? Power and money? - that's politics. Ask yourself if music has become politics.

The website is doing everything right. The people on the other hand... some things will never change.

And I'm not trying to insult anybody, I'm a very serious supporter, I love drum n bass, and I love everyone I meet in everysingle show I go to, i feel it. So don't take any of this the wrong way.
