Hell yeah!!! Our people from Urban Underground and Scale Step sure know how to throw a party!!!!
Got in just as Kemst got off the mic with Woes (*bows down* not only is he the illest dnb mc, but he's got hiphop on lock. Ultra talented - Kemst, you are THE MAN!).
R.A.W & D-Styles KILLED it!! Talk about scratchin' it up! I totally thought they were gonna do an encore, lol, it was that good. (Didn't Drez join them at one point? I thought I saw that but couldn't be sure. I'm short, couldn't really see)
Ab Rude (luv his new hair do!) & Mykah 9 with my fave Venice local, Dj Drez, fully ROCKED IT. They were so good. Kept the crowd movin!
But, oh mah goodness.... I have to say - Zion I with Deuce Eclipse (sp?) TORE IT UP!!! Deuce Eclipse has the sickest flow! All spanish reggae hip hop quick double time with the ragga roughness all mixed into one sick style. *whew! I was feelin it. :P
I was also feelin' all the heads in the house supporting and showing love to L.A. UNIFIED. Hip-hop has ALWAYS had our back, and I find it now even more so. Kids were pullin me aside with stories and tales from the past, networking for the future. It was a good good night.
Big ups to all crews/promoters/artists/audience in attendance. More to come from the Urban Underground for sure.
